Once an active PECO electrical substation, this century-old brick structure has been reimagined by Margot Properties into a collection of modern residences while preserving the integrity and strength of its industrial roots. The building’s historic façade — with original brickwork, limestone banding, and large steel-framed windows — now houses thoughtfully designed apartments that celebrate both past and present.
Inside, each residence reflects a balance of raw character and refined living: exposed masonry, high ceilings, and black-trim windows contrast with clean modern finishes and energy-efficient systems. The adaptive reuse process required complex coordination between engineering, preservation, and new construction disciplines to meet modern standards without compromising the building’s original architecture.
